Thank You, Mr. Vernon!

October 27 was Mr. Vernon Langton’s last day teaching at the Get and Give Afterschool Program. After 8 years as an educational aid, he moved to Florida. Here are words from a few of the many students he inspired:

Dear Mr. Vernon,

My feeling inside about you for 3 years is forever. I will miss you and I hope you have a happy life in Florida. Please come back to visit.

Sincerely,
Taliyah Salisbury

Mr.Vernon is a very great person. He cares about others. He wants them to have a brighter future. I wish him good luck in Florida. I hope that he lives there greatly and enjoys it.

Mr.Vernon has taught me a lot! He’s a very nice person. He can change someone’s life around (in a good way)!!! One of the things that he taught me was a lot of sayings. Like “silence is golden”. Also, “when the well runs out, there’s no water to pick up.”  He also told me that if you give respect, you will get respect. Mr. Vernon is a nice person. I’d rather not say goodbye (so he can stay).

Valuable person to his
family and Highbridge.
Educated person to
everyone including me.
Rather him stay with
us than leave.
New state he will live in
Opposite person from
bad people
Not negative person
P.S. Farewell Mr. Vernon. Hope you come and visit.

Sincerely,
Calvin W.

Thank you!!
I want to wish Mr. Vernon great trails. I hope he has a peaceful life.  I hope Mr. Vernon has a great rest of your life.

Love,
Tara M. Lebron
